The Sweepstakes Sweepstakes gets a makeover and introduces the ability to check the winnings of the prizes up for grabs in real time.

Thanks to the presence of a QR Code printed on the commercial document and the help of a dedicated app, it will be possible to find out by scanning the code whether it is a winning one.

A faster and more user-friendly way that aims to encourage participation in the Receipt Lottery and especially the use of electronic payments. In fact, the QR Code to participate will be printed on the receipt only if the payment is made entirely through electronic means (Ex. ATM, credit card, GooglePay or ApplePay).

As reported in fact in all communications from the Internal Revenue Service: “i business documents of 1 euro or more and paid in full electronically must bear a two-dimensional code including all the information necessary for participation. In addition, participation in the instant lottery is allowed within a predetermined time interval from the issuance of the receipt.”

In order to dispense the QR code-enabled receipt for participation in the new Receipt Lottery, an adjustment of the Cash Register must necessarily be made.

FISCAL FIRMWARE UPGRADE

With the imminent release of the new Fiscal Firmware V5.0.0, Labware cash registers will enable the management of the new Instant Lottery, with the automatic issuance of the QR code on the commercial document for all receipts over 1 euro and finalized with electronic payment.

The Telematics Recorder Bonus

To adapt Cash Registers, the government recently introduced support, the Bonus telematics recorders, approved by the Internal Revenue Service in its order of Jan. 18, 2023, with the new modalities for data transmission.

“The tax credit is available to operators who adapt telematic recorders to the new data transmission provisions established by Decree No. 36/2022, which provided a new way to participate in the receipt lottery. The amount of the facilitation is equal to 100% of the expenditure, up to a maximum of 50 euros for each telematic recorder.”

In summary:

• By Order No. 231943, on June 23, 2023, the Internal Revenue Service approved the bonus telematic cash registers.
• The telematics recorder bonus consists of a tax credit reserved for merchants who adopt telematic recorders that comply with the new rules for storing and transmitting daily receipts data to the IRS.
• The incentive covers 100% of the expenditure incurred in 2023, by the maximum limit of 50 euros.
